Tracker methodology
Sources awaiting check
The UK Robot Mower Tracker is a list of robot lawn mowers on sale in the UK, with the manufacturer's specs and the date we checked each one. This page explains what goes in and how.
What goes in
A model goes in when it's listed on an official UK brand store or a UK distributor's site. We don't add models that are only sold abroad, or only through marketplaces.
Where specs come from
Every spec comes from the manufacturer's official UK product page, spec sheet or official product feed. Each one is stored with its source link and the date we checked it. If we can't find a source for a spec, we don't show it. We never fill a gap from memory, from a retailer listing or from a review.
The specs we track are: rated lawn area, max slope, cutting width and height, navigation type, noise, battery, IP rating, warranty, RRP and, where published, body width, zones and security features.
Where prices come from
Prices come only from official brand stores or official affiliate feeds. Each one shows the date we checked it, and prices change. We don't show "was" prices unless the official feed does, and we never invent discounts.
How often we check
- models and specs: monthly
- brand details: quarterly
- prices: weekly where the feed allows, otherwise monthly
- launches and discontinuations: as they're announced
What we count, and what we don't
We count models on sale, not sales. Our charts show shares of the models we track, which is not the same as market share. We don't publish market-size figures unless a named source did, and then we cite it.
Using the data
You can download the verified rows as CSV or JSON from the tracker page. It's free to reuse under CC BY 4.0: credit Gladeburn and link to the tracker.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, tell us. We'll check it against the official source, fix it and note the change on our corrections page.
